Such a great resource for all types of dental info on the go! I am a pediatric dental resident, and I have a folder of all of the info I like to be able to quickly reference each day (antibiotic dosing information, trauma guidelines, primary tooth pulp chamber access shapes). I bought this book nine years after graduating dental school and still found it helpful! I really wish I would have had it in dental school or in the initial years after graduation. It’s logically written and a good step-by-step guide with lots of great tips for basic general dentistry. I found I already knew almost all of the information in the book, but about every 2-3 pages I’d get a GREAT tip I’d never heard of or thought of before. Would highly recommend, especially for a dental student entering clinic or a fresh grad.

I was always confused when it came to having to calculate dosages for medications for children and this book has tables already calculated in chewable and liquid and pill form.
The health history chapter I can look up any medical condition of my sick patients in alphabetical order and right there it lists the treatment modifications.
Anytime I do a root canal, I look at the table called “teeth and relevant information” which has information about the shape of the canals, percent of different canals, average lengths, etc.
Designing RPDs was not explained to us well in school but this book has drawings with stayplate designs and a table for which clasps to use based on the missing teeth.
Recently I applied to a job and in that office they use Nitrous and this book has a chapter with every step written out for nitrous with photos! A lifesaver. There are so many useful tables which I’ve placed tabs so that I can quickly look it up. I think I’ll also purchase the e-book so that I have both versions. Seriously, if you are in dental school or a dentist this book is like 20 books in 1. With all the tuition I paid, our school should have provided us with this book, I would have learned so much more.
